A golden summer wedding at Nymans

Some weddings just flow. No stress, no chaos—just a day that feels like it was always meant to be. C & A’s wedding at Nymans was exactly that.

It was one of those rare, actually properly hot English summer days, with gorgeous light pouring through the ruins and the Nymnan’s gardens in full bloom! Gah! They got married under the rose Italian loggia, surrounded by friends, family, and the sound of an a cappella choir filling the air. No backing music, just voices—layered, rising, completely effortless. It was one of those moments that made everyone stop and take it in.

I first met C & A for their engagement shoot, where they told me they were nervous about being in front of the camera. They were convinced it would show. It didn’t. “Somehow, not an ounce of that translated into the images,” they later told me. “Instead, we found romantic pictures of ourselves that not only looked like us but felt like us.”

And on the wedding day? They were completely in it. They laughed, they breathed it all in, they let themselves just be. That’s what made the photos. Nothing staged, nothing forced—just the two of them, exactly as they are.

The guests were the same—fully present, up for a good time, soaking up every second. Every now and then, I’d hear someone say, “This is just perfect, isn’t it?” And it really was.
