A Brighton wedding bursting with joy, colour, and connection

Some weddings have a kind of energy that makes you wish the day would never end (and when it did, this one ended with a pink sunset!).

It was a sun-filled Brighton day, a love story that spanned continents, and a couple who knew exactly how to celebrate in style. He, English-Ghanaian. She, English-American. Their guests flew in from all over the world to witness two incredible souls tie the knot by the sea. And what a wedding it was!

The (absolutely stunning) bride radiated old Hollywood glamour in a vintage crystal-bodiced gown—effortlessly timeless. The groom? A crisp white tuxedo that looked impossibly cool in the Brighton sunshine. But what made this wedding truly unforgettable were the details, woven seamlessly into every part of the day.

Ghanaian kente played a starring role—not just for the evening, when the couple changed into breathtaking kente outfits, but throughout. The wedding party carried kente fans instead of bouquets, a striking and meaningful touch that honoured the groom’s Ghanaian roots. His pocket square and those of his groomsmen carried the same vibrant pattern, a perfect pop of colour against their sleek suits. Every choice was intentional, a celebration of heritage, love, and the blending of two families.

A sky-high celebration at the Brighton i360

This wedding had everything: panoramic views over Brighton Beach from the i360, the Caribbean sounds of steel drums mixed with modern pop beats, and an unforgettable outfit change that lit up the dance floor (literally!).

Guests toasted with Newtimber sparkling wine as they rose high above the city, soaking in the scenery. The ceremony? Filled with love, laughter, and just a few happy tears. The reception? A party to remember. With people flying in from across the globe, this wasn’t just a wedding—it was a reunion, a fusion of stories, and an explosion of pure joy.

Speeches filled with belly laughs, a dance floor that stayed packed, and a sunset that bathed everything in golden light before melting into deep pink. Perfection! (Clearly I planned it!) 💖

As night fell, the newlyweds stepped onto the dance floor in their kente attire, leading the way under the glow of the jellyfish umbrella. Modern met traditional. Heritage met the future. And at the heart of it all? Just two gorgeous humans, totally in love.
