Headshot fun in Henfield
I was absolutely thrilled when Caroline, AKA Fable Photography, contacted me to book in for headshots. Honestly, it’s such an honour to create headshots for any small business owner, but as a fellow photographer whom I admire and respect, I was overjoyed! She wanted to hold the session in Henfield, West Sussex, where I am based, as she grew up here. It held special memories for her and her family, and us photographers, by our very nature of business, are all about preserving those memories. So, we took a stroll through Henfield. The weather was a little damp, so we started at the Post House Cafe because obviously, we needed the best coffee for our mission! Thank you, Oliver and team, for being helpful and welcoming, as always (if you visit Henfield, everything inside, including the staff, is fabulous!). This is where we utilised the epic style of the PHC for the ‘star’ shot that Caroline has already shared! It was one of our first shots! What a natural in front of the camera!
I then wanted to use the old bank front entranceway because, you know, we love a doorway/frame (now being converted – sob!). I loved the vibe they had, and the shots came out perfectly. Then, Caroline wanted to see the ‘Cat House.’ My son and his friend told me the story from this week’s geography lesson! The story goes, there were two neighbors. One had a cat, and the other a canary. The cat killed the canary, and the man who owned the canary was so enraged, he then killed his neighbor. Anyway, it’s a nice house… Ahem, moving on. Then we went to the infamous Yew trees at St. Peter’s Church. We ended in the tree route just by the church, as I knew this would be perfect for a more traditional ‘headshot’—super yummy 85mm art lens, wide open, and bokehlicious! Top tip for anyone reading who isn’t a photographer: you will be most relaxed at the end of your session and get the best shots, so just go with the flow and trust your photographer!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little preview! I’m glad to say I love them (and so does she haha!), and Caroline and I are going to meet up for coffee as we got on so well. If you want to book a headshots session, I am happy to come to you, take a walk through some of our gorgeous streets and cafes, visit me in Henfield, or come to your workplace. My headshots are reasonably priced (to get you coming back!), so there’s no reason not to book in! Headshots are essential to put your professional self out to the world, and with my chatty personality, I will get you to relax and get great images to use across your client-facing social media platforms and printed media! Update your LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, just for your Mum (jokes!), or yourself! Let’s do it!
