Family and Maternity Woodland West Sussex

Woodland Magic

This lovely family had booked a Gift Voucher for Christmas and provisionally booked ahead a date in March to have a family session. Somehow, despite the weather we’ve been having (headline: mostly rain) we managed to keep the date we planned. I knew of a Woodland that would be good for us all as we didn’t need to walk too far for the little one! The Mummy in this session I felt like I already knew, as I had photographed her sister January 2023! Both sisters have a delightful presence, which made this session feel like catching up with an old friend. She surprised me just before by letting me know that a bump would be joining the session! The sun shone, we had some fun and the family have some beautiful moments to look back upon. I’ve recently sent them the gallery, and they expressed their intention to ‘treasure’ the photos, which truly warms my heart. In my home, I have a print that says ‘we are the memory makers’, which perfectly encapsulates my hope for every gallery I create.

While I’m dedicated to perfecting every image in a gallery, this particular one took me two weeks to complete. My process involves editing, stepping away, and then returning with fresh eyes. While the primary focus is on optimising the photos for print, I also ensure they look great on mobile devices by checking on these too and then making any tweaks! But…always print your photos – pretty please!

We experience digital photos like a dream. Just as a dream vanishes when we wake up, a digital photo vanishes as we scroll past it or close the file. But as a print, your photograph becomes part of the real world and a part of your life.
